Joe Winston interviews Mike Myers

When Saturday Night Live's "Wayne's World" skit was made into a movie, the Chicago Tribune, having featured Joe's Basement in a feature story the year before, hired Joe Winston to interview star Mike Myers. Joe was instructed to press Myers on whether or not he had stolen the idea for "Wayne's World" from This Week in Joe's Basement.

Excerpt:

"JOE: I'm curious about what you know about the actual mechaninations of public-access cable, and how all of that works.

MIKE: Well, friends of mine were 'The Kids in the Hall,' and they had a public-access show. I always wanted to have one, I just couldn't get around to filling out all the forms and stuff.
